Meet Our Doctors
At Crossroads Back & Neck Care Center, our team has 36 years of combined experience in treating all types of neck and back-related conditions. Through the creation of an integrated clinic, Crossroads has been able to achieve the most well-rounded and state-of-the-art clinic in treating patients throughout the South Valley area.
By combining forces in both life and in the clinic, Dr. Pluckhan and his wife Piper have been able to provide an approach that is extremely rare. Many of the patients who come to Crossroads have never experienced this type of team approach to their health care. This approach is what has pushed Crossroads to be the only rehabilitation clinic in the South Valley that focuses specifically on the spine.
The network of physicians who refer to Crossroads for this expertise grows daily. Many of those same doctors have become fans of Dr. Pluckhan and Piper because they have needed their services themselves!
Please call us today at (408) 883-1231 to set up an appointment where we can begin the process of determining if you are a good candidate for our program!
Brad Pluckhan, D.C.
“From early on, I loved the challenge. I’d bring a patient who really thought they were going to have a life filled with back pain, to a reality that they could get better.” says Dr. Pluckhan. He adds, “I found that most chiropractic patients were missing a true knowledge of why they have the problems they do. I like to show them what they need to do in order to change it for the long term.”
He graduated Cum Laude from Palmer Chiropractic College -West in San Jose in 1996. He then opened his first practice in Los Gatos. “Starting out, I worked with a lot of athletes. I found that these patients were already on their way to better health. Then I realized that a greater challenge were those who have traveled further down the road of poor spinal health.”
In 2000, Dr. Pluckhan opened his second Crossroads clinic in San Jose where he began to shape his protocols to address the significant structural problems he was seeing. “The deeper we dove into spinal challenges the more patterns we began to see and I found that many of the treatments that we had been performing were not accomplishing as much as we wanted, so we needed to made some additions.”
In 2003, Crossroads added spinal decompression therapy to its arsenal of tools in order to combat acute and chronic neck and back pain. “Adding decompression to our practice philosophy was a no-brainer. We were now able to help an entirely new group of people who in the past were faced with surgery or just pain management,” Dr. Pluckhan. With over 20,000 decompression treatments rendered, Dr. Pluckhan has become one of the foremost experts on the west coast in the field of spinal decompression and rehabilitation.
Dr. Pluckhan was also thrilled to add his wife, Piper, who received her Masters Degree in Physical Therapy in 1998, to his team. “Bringing Piper onto our team gave us a huge boost to our rehabilitation department. With her experience of working with elite professional and university athletes, we are confident in all aspects of the rehabilitation of our patients.”
In 2007, Dr. Pluckhan and Piper opened their third clinic in Gilroy, CA.
“We decided that we both wanted to practice closer to home and finally practice in the community we live in,” -Piper.
